Williamsburg Estate Services will come in and offer you a free estimate for our services, including what it will cost to remove and sort items into those that will be sold, donated, or discarded.  

Our online store has thousands of shoppers and helps us ensure that you receive the greatest value for your treasures. 

 

Do you hold estate sales in person? 

We really miss seeing the crowds and the frenzy associated with having a few hundred of our closest friends in our warehouse, but at this time we are 100% online at williamsburg-estate-services.myshopify.com.

When will in-person sales return? 

Honestly, we don’t know, but we don’t anticipate it any time in the near future.

It’s not as easy as it seems to shift from an online format to an in-person format. For those who came to our in-person warehouse sales, you know that we took great pains to properly display items and make sure that everyone had room to safely maneuver around the warehouse. When COVID hit, we had to quickly pivot to online sales. Our location went from a sales floor to a warehouse almost overnight. As you can see when you pick your items up and peek around the corner, we have staff stations set up for pictures, boxes set out to bin and unbin small items, and stuff everywhere! We won’t even consider reversing course until we’re sure that the various health orders and concerns are completely over. 

How do the online sales work?

Every Sunday afternoon, Laura retreats into her home office with Apple products in hand and begins “the process.” All week long, new items were unbinned and loaded into the Shopify system. Laura makes 700-900 new items “go live” at about noon, depending on her kids’ sports schedule.  Every Thursday night, she discounts those items that remain. Items will typically only be discounted twice before they head off to be donated, so don’t wait too long to buy that one thing you can’t live without!

OK, I made a purchase. Now what?

Easy! Now that you’ve paid for that vintage crystal birdbath and the Atari 2600, our warehouse elves (a.k.a. Emily, Kelly, Wendy, Colleen, Haley, Jennifer, and sometimes Laura), grab the printed order and start the great hunt for them! When your purchases have been gathered, checked, double checked, and bagged, you’ll receive the “your order is ready for pickup” e-mail. After receiving that e-mail, come on by the warehouse at 1820 Jamestown Road between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM Monday through Friday and your new treasures will be waiting for you! If you need a pickup time outside of that window, let us know and we’ll be happy to do what we can to make it work.
